There were so many families hurting for so long as the fallen heroes of September 11, 2001 are remembered today. It seems that the celebration in NYC is not for the death of Osama Bin Laden but for the vindication of those who fell and those who carry on to never forget.  A poster was hung with 334  faces of young men who answered the call to search and rescue, yet did not come home that day, firefighters, policemen and ground zero workers, almost 10 years ago gave their lives where today many celebrate that part of this terrorism is somewhat over. The war on terror threat is very real and the number one thing on the Obama Administration's mind this morning is a media period of heighten security alert that could come to the US facilities and riots. A second period of concern is that once Al Quieda, Shabob and Simolia, Arabia, will want to rise its head to announce they are still alive. Their Lone Wolf attacks that they have spawned in Yemen and in Simolia, Shabob groups, being trained in camps, have been able to infiltrate the US and does not take a lot to face an organization of a few hundred trained dedicated people. We have to be careful and be sure to pray for our Nation that is in constant view of attack because of their dedication to fight for the rights of citizens and government so that we can live peaceably among our brethren while on earth.

With so much goings on, crime, terrorist attacks on other nations, hurricanes, earthquakes in diverse places, healing and focus & belief on the almighty is in high regard more than ever and the turnover of non believer to believer is greater....OUR GOD REIGNS VICTORIOUS.....we must remember God's word still reigns over us as well as others, as the Apostle Paul ministered to the Romans written in the 13th chapter and 11th verse.....

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.

For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad.

Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience. ...

PRAY FOR PEACE, mixed emotions, reminders, feelings, etc......all comes under the authority of the Most High God, we must pray for one another so that HEALING will begin no only in our minds, hearts, souls and spirits but in THE LAND which GOD has provided.......PRAY for PEACE......

How Should Christians Respond to Osama bin Laden's Death?

Life Launch Prayer of the Day: We praise you Almighty God of Grace, for this place and all the ways we know your presence in our lives. You call us to put in here together for a little while that we may be launched again faithfully into our world. Startle us again with your power and glory as Jesus fed thousands beside the sea, and feeds us in this sanctuary. Then send us with your Spirit, so all that is in us, and indeed all that has life and breath may praise your love, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen. Launched by God Psalm 63:1-8; Mark 6:30-44

Proverbs 24:17, "Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice"

We should never celebrate the death of another human being. Certainly, feelings of relief are appropriate. However, I would argue that as a Christian we should never have felt anxious or revengeful in the first place. Although his death was of top priority in this war and consequently seen as a victory, Christians should remember that whether or not Osama was of evil nature, God created him. Let us not rejoice in taking the life of God's creation for that is savagry. Nor should we take pride in a nation; our citiizenship is in Heaven.

Lord You know!

Today was awesome! Sometimes we think that GOD is not watching or listening. God is a rewarder to them that DILIGENTLY seek him.  Weather we live, we live unto the Lord, weather we die, we die unto the Lord, weather we live or die, we are the Lord's.  Father we Thank you for humility. Healing, Family and Restoration.  What the cankor worms tried to eat up and moth and rust wanted to decay, you came along and polished it and placed it in a position to be seen by the Nations. Lord, we have encountered many MEAN people who have laughed and abandoned us because they thought that DELIVERANCE only meant organization. But Lord our father taught us that DELIVERANCE is not just ORGANIZATION but it is a WAY OF LIFE.....who the son sets free is free indeed. You took Joseph from the Pit to the Palace and you blessed him and made him king just the way you blessed our father. Apostle Skinner's legacy will always live on in our lives, but we cannot continue to hold onto the past either. Today was a release from the past and a moving forward. Not to forget, but to allow the past to remind us of our goal and that is to see Jesus. We fought a good fight and kept the faith but as we anchor in 2011 we must remain faithful to the call to REACH THE WORLD..........our faith is never limited to one race, color or creed but GODS grace is sufficient for us ALL....truth be told JESUS STILL DIED FOR US, ROSE FOR US and COMING BACK FOR US ALL........Just a few thoughts....from....Ladyford

My God is awesome.
I was preparing myself for a blessing based on a prayer that I prayed called "LORD YOU KNOW".....I began to speak that over my spirit as I was politely told that their might not be an interest for our story TODAY.....but GOD said NOT SO.......I followed his instructions and as I obeyed the prompting of the Holy Ghost, GOD inspired me to create a tale of Love and Victory, Triumph over Tragedy and the Regis and Kelley Show was interested, called and helped put my vision in motion........From my living room to National TV......Don't tell me GOD is not still OPENING DOORS NO MAN CAN SHUT........and that my friend is my testimony of faith that if you just TRUST GOD, PRAY and HUMBLE YOURSELF, GOD will HEAR FROM HEAVEN and HEAL YOUR LAND..........I am a witness that GOD still Answers Prayers!

Platinum Steppers

There comes a time in your life where GOD allows others to become a blessings for you. During my days of Doctor prescribed rest and enduring a long haul of recovery from Congestive Heart Failure and Thyroid Surgery, God sent angels to encamp and surround me with love, huggs, kisses and words of encouragement. The SWMHS Platinum steppers.  These young ladies along with their awe inspiring Coach, Ms. M. came into my home, embraced my children, assisted me with domestic duties and concerns and became some of my most favorite traveling and supervising companions.  It's amazing how GOD uses people to give you life and hope when you don't physically feel incapable to achieve some of the desires you once were capable of handling yourself.  I wanted to give honor where it is due and thank Ms. M. and the SWMHS Platinum Sounds Steppers for all of their help during the last 2 years. Thank you for your true friendships, sisterly love, care, concern and support of my daughter as she formed new bonds in learning the meaning of Family. We love you and congratulations on your Championship Wins!!!

The Prodigal Son - Bible Story Summary By Mary Fairchild, About.com Guide

Luke 15:11-32

The Prodigal Son - Story Summary:

The story of the Prodigal Son, also known as the Parable of the Lost Son, follows the parables of the Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin. Jesus is responding to the Pharisees' complaint: "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them."
Jesus tells the story of a man who has two sons. The younger son asks his father to give him his portion of the family estate as an early inheritance. Once received, the son promptly sets off on a long journey to a distant land and begins to waste his fortune on wild living. When the money runs out, a severe famine hits the country and the son finds himself in dire circumstances. He takes a job feeding pigs. He is so destitute that he even longs to eat the food assigned to the pigs.
The young man finally comes to his senses, remembering his father. In humility, he recognizes his foolishness, decides to return to his father and ask for forgiveness and mercy. The father who had been watching and waiting, receives his son back with open arms of compassion. He is overjoyed by the return of his lost son! Immediately the father turns to his servants and asks them to prepare a giant feast in celebration.
Meanwhile, the older son is not one bit happy when he comes in from working the fields and discovers a party going on to celebrate his younger brother's return. The father tries to dissuade the older brother from his jealous rage explaining, "You are always with me, and everything I have is yours."
Points of Interest from the Story:
• Typically, a son would receive his inheritance at the time of his father's death. The fact that the younger brother instigated the early division of the family estate showed a rebellious and proud disregard for his father's authority, not to mention a selfish and immature attitude.
• Pigs were unclean animals. Jews were not even allowed to touch pigs. When the son took a job feeding pigs, even longing for their food to fill his belly, it reveals that he had fallen as low as he could possibly go. This son represents a person living in rebellion to God. Sometimes we have to hit rock-bottom before we come to our senses and recognize our sin.
• The father is a picture of the Heavenly Father. God waits patiently, with loving compassion to restore us when we return to him with humble hearts. He offers us everything in his kingdom, restoring full relationship with joyful celebration. He doesn't even dwell on our past waywardness.
• Reading from the beginning of chapter 15, we see that the older son is clearly a picture of the pharisees. In their self-righteousness, they have forgotten to rejoice when a sinner returns to God. Bitterness and resentment keeps the older son from forgiving his younger brother. It blinds him to the treasure he freely enjoys through constant relationship with the father.
Questions for Reflection:
Who are you in this story? Are you a prodigal, a pharisee or a servant? Are you the rebellious son, lost and far from God? Are you the self-righteous pharisee, no longer capable of rejoicing when a sinner returns to God? Maybe you've hit rock-bottom, come to your senses and decided to run to God's open arms of compassion and mercy? Or are you one of the servants in the household, rejoicing with the father when a lost son finds his way home?

LOVE IS THE HEART OF GOD'S DESIGN!

Contemporary marriages may follow the Biblical model or may be quite different. Regardless of how we divide the roles and responsibilities in our marriages, though, we must be sure the marriage fulfills its essential family functions and provides a loving environment for children to grow into responsible adults.

Unselfish love is the "glue" that holds families together. In marriage, we must subdue our own egos and selfish pride for the sake of the family. The Apostle Paul states it eloquently in this passage from First Corinthians:

Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (NAS, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

Sex

Sex is a wholesome and normal part of a marriage relationship, and it is for pleasure as well as for reproduction (Genesis 2:24, 18:9-12, Proverbs 5:15-19, Song of Songs 4:1-16). The apostle Paul said neither husband nor wife should deny sexual pleasure to the other (1 Corinthians 7:3-5).

The Bible does not give any rules for how sex should be practiced between husband and wife except for a prohibition against sex during menstruation - a woman's period of "uncleanness." (Leviticus 18:19). However, the Old Testament rules about unclean foods and practices are not binding on Christians (Mark 7:1-5, 7:14-23, Romans 14:13-14).
